The Carteret County Wildlife Club (CCWC) was founded in 1958 as a club for wildlife enthusiasts. The club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and an Affiliate of the N.C. Wildlife Federation.

The Carteret County Wildlife Club is dedicated to promote the conservation, restoration and management of the national, state and county natural resources, to coordinate and cooperate with other conservation minded groups and help guide unselfishly and promote the highest of ethics regarding wildlife, outdoor recreation and renewable resources, to defend the rights of all individuals and groups regarding hunting, fishing, hiking, swimming, shooting, camping, boating, nature study and other outdoor recreation, to guard diligently against pollution of air, water or land and furthermore to prevent unwise exploitation of natural resources. lt is dedicated to teaching safety and responsibility regarding all outdoor recreation.
